“Human Follies”

Acts 9: 30: “But when the brethren learned of it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.” Behold the folly of fallen human nature: When we are confronted with something we don’t understand, we hide it away and pretend it doesn’t exist. Forget that Saul had proven himself for “many days” (v. 22) in Damascus; those in Jerusalem couldn’t handle him and sent him home. So for some time the Church was deprived of one of its most powerful ministers. So instead of following man’s fallen nature, let us practice the divine nature and be one who restores!
