“Absent-minded Scoffers”

Mark 15: 29-30: “And those passing by were hurling abuse at Him, wagging their heads, and saying, ‘Ha! You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days, save yourself, and come down from the cross!’” Isn’t it amazing how these head-wagging fulfillers of Psalm 22: 7 could remember (and misapply) something Jesus had said once three years before (John 2: 19), but couldn’t seem to recall His healings, His Gospel, and all the times He had predicted the cross and what la beyond it. It’s always that way with scoffers - highlighting and expanding the bad, while minimizing or ignoring the good. That’ why they’re condemned in the first Psalm (Psalm 1: 1). Don’t be one of them!
