“Dragnet” (With apologies to Jack Webb)

Matthew 13: 47: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet cast into the sea …” Again, this is a parable with an explanation, one of only three such parables of the eight in this chapter. Again, we are shown that not the same destiny awaits all caught up in the dragnet that is the Kingdom of God. We probable don’t understand exactly what this furnace of fire is, but we cannot go so far as to deny its existence, either.
