“What’s Your Desire?”

2 Thessalonians 1: 11: “We pray for you always, that God may count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power.” We all love Psalm 37: 4, which talks about God giving us the desires of our hearts. We usually translate that to the fanciest houses, the fastest cars, and the hottest babes or guys. But here we discover what desires he’s really talking about: good character, effective ministry, and Christ being glorified in our lives. How many people have that bumper sticker or wall post?
