“Not a Sheep”

Matthew 7: 15, 16a: “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits.” False prophets can look a lot like sheep, because they spend a lot of time learning to look like a sheep. But in the end, they can’t learn to do what sheep do. They rebel, rather than submit. They are driven by selfish ambition, rather than service of others. They place themselves first, and pull down the faith of others. When you see something that claims to be a sheep acting like this, check closer. In that mouth you will find a sharp set of teeth, ready to devour.
