Psalm 119: 176: “I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant, for I do not forget Your commandments.” In this last breath of Psalm 119, after 175 verses of extoling the virtues of God’s Word, you would expect a triumphant hurrah. You would be disappointed. Instead, it seems as if the whole exercise had been preparation for a cry for help. “I’m lost, Lord, help me. After all, see how much cred I give Your commandments? Page after page of cred!” And the amazing part: God listens to those kinds of cries. Now that\s mercy!
