“Missing the Point, Part 2”

Psalm 78: 9, 10: “The sons of Ephraim were archers equipped with bows, yet they turned back in the battle. They did not keep the covenant of God, and refused to walk in His law.” Why be equipped with a bow, and then not use it in battle? What else is a bow for, unless your name is Cupid? And why be in covenant with God if it doesn’t bring you closer to Him? The Lord equips us for a reason, and we must use that equipment to fulfill His reason, not ours.
